Intext Ads For Regular Members

Intext ads are now going from guest viewing only to regular member viewing. If you are a staff member, vendor or site supporter you will not see in text ads. If you just registered you will see ads.

Advertisements in any form are important to the existence and promotion of this webforum. Not only does the revenue generated pay for hosting and licenses, but it also affords us giveaways, BBQs and further site promotion.

If you have a question, or comment, please contact myself or another staff member.

Should set a limit....anyone here longer than 5 yrs, no ads for them....

If "tenured" members (5yrs+, as mentioned) are still here and active, why aren't they site supporters?

Not sure on the next giveaway. Rules will likely remain the same. Hard to find an even balance for everyone.

Its not a bad idea really, but there is already one problem. Someone who has been here 5 years say with 10,000 posts vs someone who has been here 5 years with 100 are certainly very different types of users.

Its just easier to leave it as is for all regular members.

Well, I believe there are a few reasons why people arent site supporters here on CCA.

1) Cost is perhaps high in their opinion. Cheapest is $20 / year.
2) CCA isn't their #1 choice of car audio forums, perhaps they invest elsewhere
3) They don't see the need to support the site when really, aside from seeing an advertisement or 2, its 100% free.
4) If CCA is here today and gone tomorrow it really wont impact them.
5) Perhaps they dont like me or perhaps a member who staffs the site. Perhaps one of their friends got picked on so they are like F CCA.

IMO, if you are active and enjoy coming to the site, what is $20 for the year?

Either way, its all good in da hood.

I've only been here for like a year and I support the forum.

The main reason I do is because I've gotten a lot of great info about audio and picking quality gear such as Morel.

True that. There are soooo many people on here with years of experience that you can generally save $20 in the first purchase if you shop around.

Some people perhaps just don't see the value in the site like you do.
