Ever since replies have been turned off in that forum, people think it's ok to try to scam other users because no one can call them on their rip off.

A free market is unregulated. Your market is heavily regulated. 'Let the buyer beware' is a cheap cop out. I see the rest of the board is becoming heavily policed, while letting one forum go to the rats.

cheers

if someone wants to buy from the for sale section without doing any research, then they pays their money and takes their chances. Nowhere does it say that people aren't allowed to charge whatever the heck they want for their own gear. do oyu expect local shops to sell to you at less than cost, since the gear has been sitting on the shelf for over 3 months?

If you don't like it, don't buy anything from there.... it's pretty simple, really

I dont expect local shops to sell me stuff at less than cost, i dont know what that has to do with anything? Im talking about people using your message board to try to scam unsuspecting people by charging DOUBLE what the product is worth brand new in a retail store.

The most recent (but not the only) example is that guy selling 2 visonik subs for $500 that can be had at XSCARGO for $130 each. Why stop someone from replying to that and telling others it's a scam?

You're right, I dont like it. But if your mind is so set, and you dont want to listen to anyone elses opinion, why do you have a feedback forum?

So here's a thought, can i post the entire futureshop inventory, and charge 50% more than they charge, and just wait for some newbie to buy something? Then i go to futureshop, buy the product, then sell it to the newb and make my profit? If i cant, why can others?

It's a risk you choose to take. As they said if you don't like it don't do it. But its the same here as it will be anywhere else you can't stop scammers, someone could scam you even with responses.

It's totally your decision to take the risk. They took the reply function out because to many fights were starting and threads going off topic.
