One thing I notice on this board that isn't so popular on others is a subtle amount of spam, mainly in the FS posts.

What I'd suggest in hopeful agreement by the miesters and sledders is when there's a thread on a subject that's going stale from lack of responses, to not start a new FS/WTT thread or inquiry thread in the forums, but rather keep the current thread bumping it to the top (ttt/bump) type thing. It keeps peoples old threads from bumping up again with their new threads, creating repeat threads and making it look like the board is being spammed.

This would also keep members from having to type up a whole new thread (unless people like lots of typing) and would likely save some bandwidth.

Anyone agree?

Also, if people have several items for sale, I'd suggest putting them all in one thread instead of bombing a mass of 3 or 4 FS/WTB threads by the same member. Save our mouse buttons.

Valid points - but those forums are pruned quite often (meaning older posts are deleted) so sooner or later everything gets deleted unless it's active...

Why not have the moderators approve all new members before they fully become members. CarSound does it.
