2 (2 Channel + 4 Channel) amps or single 4 channal amp?
Hello,
I have a Pioneer AVH X2790bt head, and a Pioneer TS W304r Sub.. I also have a Sony XM N 502 amp (2 Channel). With these I have 4 low end Boston acoustic speakers. Ive upgraded my speakers to Polk DB 6501 for the fronts, and Polk DB501 for rears, as I can fit only 5.25 inch speakers in the rear. I have also bought a Sony XM N 1004 (4 Channel amp) The config of the amp are: 1,000 W high power output 70 W x 4 (4 ohms), 85 W x 4 (2 ohms), 175 W x 2 (BTL) CHANNEL CONFIGURATION 4ch;3ch;2ch MAX. CHANNEL POWER CONFIGURATION AT 4 OHM 4 x 170 W MAX. CHANNEL CONFIGURATION AT 4 OHM BTL 2 x 500 W MAX. CHANNEL POWER CONFIGURATION AT 2 OHM 4 x 250 W FREQUENCY RESPONSE 5–50 kHz To get the best of the system, can I connect my Polks x 4 speakers (DB 6501 Front and DB 501) and the Sub to the 4 Channel amp? Or Is it best that I have two amps in the car, (I already have the Sony 2 channel XM N 502 amp installed) and run the Pioneer Sub via the 2 channel as it is configuured now, and have the Polks running off the 4 Channel amp? Thanks very much for you time. |
