Alpine mda-7755js no sound problem??

Hey guys this is my first post and probably the site out there that has any useful info on car audio. Anyway i installed my dual din Alpine mda-7755js and cda-5755s(mini disc/ cd combo) and everything is hooked up but i only have sound from my sub??

The unit comes on and has power just no sound to the speakers. I have them hooked up to the normal green/white/grey and purple wires but still no sound. Is there a setting in the head unit to turn them on? I bought this used from my friend and he said it worked awesome. I don't have a manual so it's hard to know what all the setting mean. I cannot find a manual online.

Does anyone out there know how to turn on the internal amp or even find the settings menu??? If not how to i hook up my four speakers to and external amp? I have a mono alpine amp now running my sub. I would have to get like a 4 channel amp and run my door speakers to that and then run the rca cables to the deck?

What vehicle is it being installed in? most likely has an internal amp you need to bypass ..

It has been a while since I've seen the MDA, but I do not believe it is capable of "dual in" (perhaps someone on here can confirm). This is were you connect the RCA Outputs of a processor back into the Outputs of the head unit. Now allowing the speaker outs of the head unit to work with no need for external amps etc. If it is not, you will have to connect an external amplifier to the CDA's RCA outs for proper playback.

You can get the manuals online at Alpine.com. As far as the connections go, check that the switch under the MDA is set to Eq/Div. In doing so the CDA will now act like a processor (PXA-H701 etc.). It is now the master audio output device to where RCA cables are connected to an external amplifier.

Hope this helps!

So i have the HU switched to eq/div and the HU is plugged into the CDA. I have the sub plugged into the sub woofer rca cable coming fromt he CDA.

I might have to get another amp to hooked up my speakers and run the the rca cable to the CDA.
