Bridge 4 channel amp for 2?subs?
 

Hi, I'm new here. I've searched the web and come up confused. Hoping I can get some help here.

Here goes. I aquired a free amp. I think it's a cheap one. I don't want to spend much cash, just try to make this work.

I have a '95 Explorer 2door. It has factory JBL, so with my Pioneer DEH P3100UB deck, It's listenable. The factory sub has been disconnected. I think. It doesn't work anyway. There is wires for the speakers behind the deck from a previous P.O.S. deck. The Factory six-pack is long gone.

I got a Cheap amp. Free. Wanna see If I can make something out of it.
Never heard of this; MEI DA4450. 600watt max. 4channel. It says "mono bridgeable". It has a power mode switch for 2,3 and 4 channel. It has a crossover switch, Full, 80Hz and 120 Hz settings.

I'm a newbie to car audio. This amp is obviously best used for powering 4 speakers. I just want my truck to have some kick. So, I would like to bridge this amp and use it to run just a sub/s. Would this work?

I thought it would work best to bridge the amp and run 1 sub seperatly off of each channel (2 subs total).

My main questions would be; What Ohm Subs should I get?
Would I hook the amp to the back of my deck
just into the RCA's marked SW?

That might sound dumb, so any help on how to hook up an amp/sub would be greatly appreciated.

Choose two subs, 12" svc 4 ohm models each for this application. You will set the switch to 2 channels. The crossover switch you have not said if it is LP or HP. Let's hope it is LP. Yes to hooking the rca cable to the back of the deck marked sw. The speakers will connect to the (normally marked) bridged outputs of the amplifer (Usually one sides + and the other sides negative.

Thanks. The Crossover switch does not say high or low pass. It has Full, 80Hz and 120Hz settings. My Head unit has a high pass filter option. It also has subwoofer settings
20Hz-120Hz. If none of this equals a low pass filter, am I screwed? Or can I use a combination of things to make it work?
As for the speaker hook up.. I know I'll hook each bridged channel to 1 subwoofer, But how do I hook up the Front/Rear OEM speakers?
