capacitor question

what are capacitors normal voltage level, i have a bad feeling its not supposed to read 15.5 - 16, which mine does(1 sub amp, 1 speaker amp, a cap, and deep cycle 4 extra power in the trunk for long playing without car being on (aka: camping)), my friend started asking if i had the power wire hooked up in parallel or in series, i was totally lost..haha

I'll post a picture of my setup tomorrow if it helps

ya a photo of it, and the model of the amp so we can get more info. but caps can hold different voltages hence their diffrent size.

Throw a meter on it and measure it. What does it read now?

I am assuming you have a digital display cap. Your problem is most likely the digital display is not calibrated. There will be a very small **** or pot on the underside of the displays board for calibrating. Measure the cap with a meter then adjust the display to read the same.
