car audio processors (xover, eq etc)

I currently have a carrozeria head unit with a built in 3 way crossover

I love the unit but am thinking of going with a double din unit, problem is a dont see any units with a 3 way crossover

I want to just go with an external setup now, something that allows me to crossover high, mid sub and set the slopes and levels.

What is out there that lets me do this externally?

I'm looking for a car audio one too. I know of the Behringer DCX2496 for pro audio which is what you are looking for and more. Problem is it must be converted for 12v use. Considering the price I guess it's well worth it. Compare the cost to the Rockford 360.2 which has less features and flexibility.

This would bolt together with your exisiting single din to make a double din, and it is an external unit like you are looking for.

You can use a line output converter to change the high level speaker signal from the radio to convert it to low level pre amp signals (RCA). This apply only if the stock radio don't have pre amp outputs (RCA outputs). But using the converter add noise and distortion to the system since also they have and independent ground connection which create another loop which ends in noise. The best thing to do is get an amplifier with high level speaker signal input and that way connect directly the speaker of the radio to the amplifier since many amps have built in crossover you can adjust the bass , treble, mid .
