First off let me describe my set up. 200,000 miles on my engine but a 2006 pontiac torrent v6 with a 3.4L engine and a 875AH AGM battery. I have a High output Alternator at 250amps, 1/0 100% OFC silver lined, Orion XTR 2500.1Dz amplifier set to 2950watts output, and two wolfram audio 2500w RMS 4 ohm dvc wired down to 1ohm. I used the audio for a total of maybe 15 minutes when I noticed lights dimming. After I noticed I stopped using my audio but about after 35 minutes of just driving my car stopped without notice as if it stalled out. I took it to my mechanic because I thought it was something simple but he said that I needed a new engine because there was compression issues and that the rocker arms were loose along with metal shavings in the oil, the ecm was partially fried/melted.

They put in a new engine, then when they tried to start it they said I needed a new ECM because it was fried, they took the car to the dealership to get the new ecm programmed and then said when they hooked it up the alternator started smoking. I asked him what was the major cause and he says that I overloaded my electrical system with the upgraded charging system and that with the amount of bass it caused the oil to foam in the engine which then caused the damage to the engine...

Part of me says that is bull because I have never heard nor can find any info on bass causing an engines oil to bubble or foam, not only that but it seems road vibration in an engine would cause more bubbling than my bass and if it were the case everyone that does spl competitions would be needing new engines/electrical after every competition and they have waaaaaaaaay more bass than I. what would you say is the main culprit of why my engine and ecm went out? I am starting to thing they hooked back up my big 3 wrong and fried my alternator and now I am worried about my amp. Can anyone give me insight as to why this happened, what can I do to prevent this from happening again and can my car actually handle that amount of power?

my plans to make sure this doesnt happen again are to put two more batteries in my car and use a diode isolator to prevent draw from my car, I also have a High output hairpin alternator on its way so I will have 270 amps and 220 amps at idle. Will these upgrades prevent my car from damage or am I just rowing upstream at this point? Any info is appreciated as I am a NOOB in car audio especially SPL. The people I have had work on my car are Master MECP certified persons as well as an Electrician as to why I do not believe my mechanic. Also to mention before the car went out I had my battery and alternator tested and the battery and alternator were in working condition according to the tests ran.

This has been severely discouraging and I am worried that I have sunk all this money into a car that I wanted to enjoy but couldn't have due to the cars electrical.
