Certain songs drain my battery!!

Ive never seen this before but some of my bass songs make my battery go down to 13.5V while im driving. No lights on and no AC on and this is according to my scangauge which has never lied before. Should i be worried? My normal voltage is 14.2V

Forgot to say the amp is an MTX 4001 mono class D and im running 4 Aug wire with 50Amp fuse.

I hear something about "The big 3". Would this help me?

No worries. It is perfectly normal. Big 3 will help, but the heavy bass will always drop the voltage. Thats physics buddy.

I think you will find certain bass heavy songs draw a lot of current while others don't as your woofer and box combo behave this way (ala sasha) but upgrading the power supply wiring is not a bad idea, it may or may not solve the problem (which isn't a terrible problem at all BTW). the amp will max out at a 50 amp draw from the electrical system so though the system is modest at 600 watts the demand on you cars available power is evidently 'felt' by the car. As long as there isn't continued degradation I don't think I would get my knickers in a twist over it but a larger alternator (or simply a new one if your car is getting old) or at least 'the big 3' is the direction you may have to go
