Charging a capacitor?
 

Hi everybody.
So I am on the final leg og getting my System installed.
The deck and inside front and back speakers are in.
Now I will be installing my Amp and capacitor.
I have the Amp thing figured out, It is just the charging of the capacitor that has me a little confused. How to you charge it before the first use?
I have my Four gauge wire coming from the Pos Batt terminal in to the in line fuse. Out from there all the way into the trunk then onto the Postitive terminal of the capacitor. so the other terminal is for the Ground right?
Then i go from Cap to amp right. Now can the Amp and Cap use the same Grounding point in my trunk?
And can someone please help walk me through the steps of charging this Capacitor up?

Its really easy. Charging cap is the very last thing you do, after its all hooked up.
Connect everything, with the main fuse out of the holder.
Then, using the resistor or lightbulb that came with the cap, connect it accross the terminals in the fuse holder. The bulb should lite up, and slowly go dim.
If you use a resistor instead of a lite, use a meter to measure voltage. It should drop to zero.
Then you can put the fuse in without the big spark.

Dis charging is opposite. Remove fuse, connect cap side to ground throgh the lite.
