cone separating from coil neck??

No long story this time.. :eyes: but we were shaking the block:cheeky4:
then as usual these days...
2 of the 3 subs are making noise they shouldn't!
Took all 3 subs out. I have minimum sub build experience but I did do these 2 recones last year, from 1 piece kits.
Anyhow, the coils aren't burnt , but I did notice these scrapes on only the 2 "noise" makers. The pics are of the scrapes, made from the cone of the coil neck. That's not suppose to move, is it?

Is this a problem and the source of the new noises?
Can it be fixed without re-coning?

Push the cone back to where it is suppose to sit and them run CA glue where the cone and former meet. For extra insurance go over the joint with goop, once the ca glue has fully cured.

Thanks J.
All they have to do is hold up for a few weeks, we should have the new 4ohm vc recones and the .67 load soon.. I'll fix these and they can be fodder till then :cheeky4:

Do you think there is any benefit in using the ca glue/goop on those same seems with the new recones ? they did fail already :dunno:
