Dual Alt install??

I've got a 2005 Grandprix, not supercharged. Apparently i can put another alternator in its place. Did anyone do this? I need it to run my 5000 rms because my cap says the voltage goes down to 10v even while driving. I really don't know anything about mounting or wiring in a second alternator so any help would be appreciated, thanks

Have you done BIG 3 in 1/0? Another good idea is to run a dedicated ground from amps to batt's if you haven't already

I doing 0/1 gauge later today and adding an amp to my door speakers. Thanks

And what do you mean? I have separate grounds x 3.
1 for the amp, 1- batt, 1 -cap

there is a sticky on the big 3 in the 'general discussion' section of the forum, this will allow the system to get the power from the alternator and battery to the stereo

Gee good choice as only the rarest car has extra alternators, not cheep, not easy and not needed for you
