Help with 2001 GMC Yukon original stereo...
 

Our above-mentioned car stereo will play AM stations just fine. However, when trying to play FM stations, you can only hear a (very faint) sound if you turn the stereo all the way up. The tuner appears to be working because when "seeking" it finds the next strong signal (station). We have replaced the stereo with a like-one from the junkyard, but it has the same problem. We have also checked the fuse, and it is fine. I'm thinking it's an amplifier problem, but just on the FM? This is a very old vehicle with a lot of mileage, but we are not ready to give it up, but don't want to spend a lot to fix this issue. Any ideas? Thanks!
