Help tuning amp to speakers
 

Hello guys this is my first post, yall have a wonderful and helpful website

I have some knowledge with amps n stuff of this kind . I'm trying to match my amp to match my speakers. i went to get it done to a "professional" shop. the guys there didn't do so much of a good job, the Bass EQ was crunked about 4/5 to reach its full 10db potential, they gave me 18 gauge wire for my subs -.- both of my speakers blew out when i crunked up the volume anyways back to my question. i have the following;

1) Hifonic Brutus 2000.1D RMS Monoblock amp
2000 watts @ 1 Ohm
1400 watts @ 2 Ohms
700 watts @ 4 Ohms
2) Boss Phantom 15" DVC 4ohm 1250 RMS Subs
1) Pro box

what set up would yall recommend for the amp??? so it wnt blow the spekaers and how many ohms should i wire the speakers to? the amp has Level, Phase, Bass EQ, Low Pass, n Subsonic on it. i also dont know how to use the phase

Thank You, i decided i will be using a DMM to tune my amp to match my speakers

If you have a ported box, and you know what frequency it is tuned for, then set your hz around that frequency. if you have a sealed box, then I would turn this down all the way. a sealed box already won't play the really low notes too loud, cutting them even more will just drop the volume more unnecessarily. that is there to protect subs in ported enclosures from playing notes too low and damaging them. in a sealed box you don't have to worry as much about that.

to set the gain by ear, turn your music up the level that you like to listen to it at, and turn the gain up to a level that you like, or until you can hear distortion. thats as basic as it gets.
