I'm getting no sound to sub...

I have a Sony Xplod GTR Series 2/1 Channel Amplifier and I have the amp and deck all set up and working perfectly, however when I go to plug in my sub it gets no power at all. Even though my deck doesn't have sub control (the guy before me had subs with the ghetto deck and worked fine). What is going on? Im using regular wire and getting no sound to the subs, someone help please.

did you activate the rca preout in the HU settings?
does the amp turn on?
what's the HU an amp model?

to rule out any amp/sub problems use an mp3 player and plug it directly in the amp to see if you get anything, but be careful with the volume.

Its just some crappy Pioneer thing. But I don't know how to activate the preout... How do you do that? And the amp turns on and seems to be working fine, just nothing is going to the subs. Or and other speaker what i tried to hook up. The amp is brand new so it cant be that.

YES it can, but let not focus on that... Like i said if you can try with a mp3 player if you can.

Can you provide the exact model for the pioneer deck, it will be hard for us to find the manual without this...

The pioneer DEH-11E is the exact deck I have. pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Products/CarAudioVideo/Source/CD-Players/Pioneer/DEH-11E is the link.
