Infinity Kappa 12.1 Amp?

Im new to both this site and sub/amp installation, and Im having trouble finding an amp for my single DVC, 4 Ohm, "12 Infinity Kappa sub. Ive installed my own head unit and all other accessories, and Im ready for some bass, the kind my 6x9's just wont produce. I was hoping to find something that could perform well, but also something doesn't draw too too much heat.
Any input is much appreciated!
Thanks

i think most of those kappa 12's were rated for 300-400 watts rms, so look for a class d amp rated at 400 watts rms into a 2ohm load (your sub is dual 4 ohm which equals a 2ohm load when they are wired parallel). Class D amps are efficient and generate little heat.

check out woofersetc.com. Go for brands like cadence, zapco, or arc audio.

are you sure what your sub is? dual 4 ohms? is this 4+4 ohms? which would be 2 ohms in parallel or is it a 2+2 which would be 1 ohm parallel or 4 ohms series?
