Auto Idle Stop causing brown out

I have a Honda Pilot 2016 with Auto Idle Stop that kills the engine when stopped at a red light. I turned on the overhead lights and while the engine is running, when it is killed, and when it is idle the light is constant, but when the engine kicks back in the light dims momentarily. Problem is I had a hard wired dash cam installed (one in front and one in rear), and when the engine kicks back in the damn thing reboots. It can’t handle the brown out. Can I use a stiffening cap before the hard wiring to fix this? Will one stiffening cap handle 2 dash cams? Is there a cheaper option?

There is a problem with the way the cams are installed... or possibly your starter battery. The starter will draw high current from the battery. A voltage drop occurs. Like a couple volts. On a good battery. Thats why your lights dim. That isn't enough to reset anything. Your light never go out. Just dim. The cams should behave the same way. They shouldnt reboot. Could be your battery also. A faulty battery might still start the car but it will drop 4 or 5 volts instantly. Get battery tested. Make sure they do a load test only good shops have the ability to acually load test a car battery. Those cams should be wired straight to the fuse block. If they are sharing power with something else they might be resetting cause the voltage drop is below there minimum voltage. Just my guess. A cap isn't the answer at any rate.
