Need amp(s) don't know what to get

Hey I have 2 alpine type x 10 inch subs and I was wondering if I should get 2 Pdx.1.1000 or the new vpower 2000 not sure on the name of it, but what would you guys seggest? I listen to lots of metal and some rap and I want them to pound haha, thanks! -Mike.

PDX.

although i'm sure the v series will put out that 2000watts, the PDX amps are EXTREMELY efficient. the drain on your system will be much less with them.
i run two pdx amps, and used to have a type x on one, they matchup very well.

also, with the stackable design, two of those will still take up less room than the v series....the main thing though is just how efficient they are while making their power. and they can power each at 4ohm with at least 1000 which is a nice .....mine is 1166 on birthsheet!

...and they simply look amazing

awesome thank you, ill go with 2 pdx, i was leaning towards them but just wanted to see what some one else thinks. -Mike

I would go to one big amp, way easier to install, way less wiring used and way easier to set up.

i still stand by the two amps, but MR2NR is completely right, recognize that if you do choose that, you would have to do double the grounds, double the power wire, and the setup would be a little tougher.

i just looked at the actual specs for the size of these, the 1 amp is pretty much exactly double the size ....so unless you plan on stacking them, you wouldn't be saving room either.

...regardless of what you choose, you are gonna have ridiculous amounts of bass with that setup

oh ya, with the PDX, remember you are paying a premium for the stackability, efficiency, etc. power to dollar wise, the V series is really hard to beat.

PDX all the way though!!!

Yes and no! 2 amps doesn't mean double runs! If a person was to run say a single run power wire in 1/0 to a distribution block and do 2 branches 2gauge off that bam u got it hooked up! I personally would go with a single amp as it is easier and just as good! That's personal preference though! Sounds like u have your mind made up:]
