need help with buying new subs 2OHM or 4OHM

I have a fosgate " T1500-1bd 1500 Watt Class-bd Mono Amplifier "

It runs at
500W x 1 @ 4-Ohms RMS
1000W x 1 @ 2-Ohms RMS
1500W x 1 @ 1-Ohm RMS
So I know its capable of running at 1-OHM but when I look at the specs on the website it shows Efficiency (average) at
86% @ 4-Ohm
85% @ 2-Ohm
68% @ 1-Ohm

will the amp be working to hard and risk blowing it?

http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/product_details.asp?cat_id=2&series_id=104&family_ id=105&item_id=107999&locale=en_US&p_status=

my last installer used 2 subs both 2-OHM and wired them at 2-OHM load
but I'm thinking of buying 2 subs with 4-OHM and wired them down to 1-OHM

can someone help
Thanks

It will be fine using a 1 ohm load. The amp is 1 ohm stable so you won't blow it. Make sure you have the correct final resistance though. Two four ohm subs in parallel is 2 ohms, two 2 ohm subs in parallel is 1 ohm.

That is fine. I thought you had single voice coils.
