Need help understanding and choosing amp!
I just recently got the rockford fosgate t1d2 12" subwoofer and I need help with what amp I should get. I have been looking at the RF r1200 1-d mono amp and was wondering if this would be a good amp to pair with the sub. Also I was wondering if there was any special way I would have to wire the sub to amp? Another amp I was looking at was the RF T1000, would this be a better pair with my sub? If there are any other suggestions on other good amps that would be a good pair it would be much appreciated, thanks.

Go with the t1000 if you have the space... And you wire the sub in parallel for a 1 ohm load (both+ on the sub to the + on the amp and both - to the - on the amp)... I would start out setting the gain conservatively as i believe the t1 is 600-800rms and the t1000 does well over 1000 watts....eventually when the sub loosens up you can give it a little more power as long as its clean and your not clipping the signal

Ok well on the t1 sub it only has one (+) and one (-) with the fuse you can switch to a 4 ohm load or a 1 ohm load. As long as I have the positive to positive and negative to negative from sub to amp it should be whatever the fuse is set at? And you say I should go with the t1000 if I have space? Is this because it's a really big amp? Why would the t1000 be a better choice then the r1200? Sorry for so many questions I just want to make sure I have the right amp so I have no problems in the future. Thanks.
