New Here and could use some help

I recently had a professional install a 800w 4 channel AB amp. 12 inch sub in box. my car is a 2013 taurus limited. they only installed 4 german meastro speakers in the front cabin. The car has 10 total speakers.I paid 1100 dollars for all of this. They are using the factory head unit due to the steering wheel controls and i prefer great sound over after market changes in the cabin. I feel that it does not sound good at all with streaming pandora, slacker, or sirius satellite radio. The only time it sounds decent is when I play a CD. Even 320 Bitrate mp3's do not sound good. What are all of your thoughts on this? Would it have been best to replace all of the cabin speakers and hooked them to an amp? the meastro speakers were 500 alone which only raplaced 2 tweeters in the front as well as the 2 in the door.

Any thoughts ?? Could I have gone elsewhere and added more power and replaced all the speakers in the cabin? This dealer has had my car two times, each time almost 2 weeks.

HELP!!!

I look forward to everyone's responses.

Thank you,
Kendrix

How are you getting your digital information into the head unit? Sync?

the system has sync but via bluetooth.

The problem in my opinion is the quality difference of the sources.
In one case you have a CD, which is "less compressed" than the other source you selected, which is Internet Radio being streamed.
The main difference is Bandwidth, and frequency response.
So.., nothing wrong with your system or your ears, it's a sacrifice made, convenience of MP3 (FLAC etc..) which is tons of music stored, for SQ of CD.

.., I wonder if they'll ever bring back Turntables into cars..,*sigh*

Yeah, Bluetooth streaming music is probably the poorest resolution you can get. For digital, use a cable and as high a bitrate that you can
