Power question

Hello I am new here, my name is John. I have a question regarding how much wattage I might be running to my system. I have one Powerbass S-124DX (300rms/600max) mated to a Boss NX1600.2 amp. The is rated at 1600w bridged at 4 Ohms. I have the sub wired to 8 Ohms bridged to the amp. How much power is my sub roughly running? I have the gain about 1/4-1/2 way turned up. I am trying to figure it out without going to a shop and spending money to figure it out. Thanks.

You need a digital multimeter.

ditto... even Batman has a digital multimeter!

and then you can solve the problem
Your amp Boss NX1600.2 puts out
•RMS Power @ 4 Ohms: 400 Watts x 2
•Max Power @ 2 Ohms: 800 Watts x 2 This is not RMS. we don't know what the RMS output is at 2 ohms!
•Max Bridged Power @ 4 Ohms: 1600 Watts x 1 again NOT RMS.
There is no spec for 8 ohms bridged, but I suspect it would be something like 800wats MAX.

so you have 2 options
1: connect your sub in parallel, for 2ohms, and use only ONE channel of the amp
2: connect sub in series for 8 ohms, use your amp in bridged mode. maybe you will get 800watts MAX .

can't be more precise since there are no other specs for the amp. I suggest option 1. but you could try both.

and your sub is when connected in parallel
S-124Dx
VC Impedance: 4 ohm + 4 ohm
Test Impedance: 1.6 ohm
