Read This - Tutorials vs. Discussions

Alright - I wanted a 'tutorials' section and we got a combined section. That's alright, discussions are useful too.

Post a tutorial or instructional thread, as in the Remote Turn On Relay post, and it will likely get stickied as a reference.

Open a discussion and it likely won't be stickied unless some significant information is revealed.

Let's try to keep this to technical discussion.

Amplifier Repair

I have been asked by a good friend to repair several Kenwood amplifiers. I have
a 718, a 921, and a 646. They all appear to have no faults but they make no noise. I inject a 1.5V P-P signal, I connected 1 speaker to the output and I power it with a 14 Volt source. Am I missing something or are all of these probably faulty?

have you checked the cross-over settings on the amps to verify that they will alow the freqency to pass through that you are injecting into the amps, if so it sound like the outputs might be gone in your amps
