Setup Advice

So, I'm super new to car audio and could really use any tips or advice to get the best sound quality and maximize the performance of my sound system. I inherited a Skar Audio SDR-12-D2 when I bought my 97 chevy 1500, it doesn't have a box or an amp or anything, just the subwoofer itself, and I'd really like to set it up and start using it in my 87 Dodge Ram D150 since I prefer driving it over the chevy. I know my sub is 600W RMS and 1200W peak, but aside from finding an amp that matches that, is there anything else I need to look when choosing an amp? Feel free to recommend anything you think would work well for it too. A little bit of additional information as far as how I typically listen to music and have my sound systems setup, I would like to make sure that despite my abuse, it'll hold up and keep sound quality as high as possible for as long as possible. Anyway, I typically will have my low end turned up high, my middle only turned up slightly and treble turned up just slightly less than the low end, I listen to a LOT of metal, a lot of edm and a lot of (I don't actually know what to call the genre) I guess dark trap(?). In other words, a ton of blast beats and gravity blasts, copious amounts of heavy drawn out bass notes and all the weird fluctuating and amped up bass. I also tend to like to listen to my music at such a volume that my neighbors get to enjoy it too, whether they want to or not 🤣 (currently only fully functioning stereo is in my room at home lol). Any advice and tips are welcome as well as any recommendations. Thank you in advance lol
