somewhat consistant unexplained pounds

ive got 2 12" Alpine type R subs with a Alpine M12 amp, and a 5 farad tsunami cap, running off a opima battery, it was running fine for years but now it slowly does a weird cycle, my music runs and once about every 15 sec. or so the subs will just pop out for about 2 seconds then resume playing, sometimes it will even do it at like lets say the same part of the corus of the song each time its played, but not liminted to that, like i said every 15 sec. or so. if i mute the sound it will still happen, you can really see it since the song isnt interfearing, when it pops out my cap beeps and the digital meter reads a high amprage draw and my volts go down to around 10 volts, when the subs come back the cap reads about 13v with little draw. any ideas???

To start, clean all grounding points and check all power and ground connections for corrosion.

Weird

I checked with a tester and it did have its own ground, I dismounted the amp and used a tester, red on amp ground and black on the screws of the amp (the ones I mount it with) so there is continuity, is that supposed to happen cause its doing it with both amps

Leave only the positive from your battery on the amp and disconnect all grounds and all the rca's and speaker wires from the amp and see if the amps power lights goes off.

If the power goes off, attach them one by one back and see if the power comes on back.

Figured it out. Fiew

For some reason the amp grounds threw the mounting screwes, and it draws cause I always had some draw showing up on the cap, I removed the screws mounted the amp differently, and got a new ground location, everything works mint and I get 0amp on the cap when the system is off,
Thank man you helped a lot

Glad you got it working mann, the next step I was going to ask you to try, is remove the amp from the vehicle lol.., because, some where it had to be grounding.
