Stereo Intermittently Stops Working

I installed a Chinese 2DIN S100 car stereo a couple of months back. Other then this problem it is a very good unit.

On average once a week the stereo simply stops working. I discover it not booting when I start the vehicle. It has never stopped when the stereo was actually being used.

It can easily be reset by either unplugging the wire harness for a few seconds or when I dis then reconnect the vehicles battery.

I don't know much about electronics/stereos.

I send it back under warranty and nothing was found to be wrong with the unit.

Any ideas?

You'll have to wait until it stops working again and when it does use a multimeter to see if there's power at the constant wire, accessory wire, and make sure the ground is good. If these three thigns are good then it is the unit that is screwed.

Thanks for the info. I will, when it stops again :)
