Sub Noise

Hey guys, sub making some noise. You know when your sub is playing and you touch it makes a rattling sound. Well, my sub sounds like that when it plays. Looked around my sub and nothing is touching it. Any ideas?

Likely culprits are the tinsel leads slapping the cone, the cone separating from the spider/former, and maybe even a delaminated or deformed coil.

It still hits hard and low! So it doesn't seem to me that i would need a new one. Plus i took her out and it was the tinsel leads. Is that cause for an alarm?

not really. It happens from time to time. Some woofers even have a little square of foam tape on the cone right there to keep the leads from smacking the cone.
