sub not playing correct

I just moved my system to another car and it was working fine before i removed it. As i connected the RCAs it sounds like posotive and negative speaker wires are touching and the sub is bearling playing. But when i put a RCA on the tip of the outlet it plays but its not as loud as it should be, i put it back in and it doesnt play proplery. What could be the problem here?

.... your hooking up RCAs with power to the system... that's a good start to the problem, dont do that it gets expensive sometimes

so what does the positive and negative wire touching sound like?

What else changed besides the car... HU maybe?
Same RCAs or different?
Have you verified good positive and negative connections to your amp?
Is there alternator whine through the stereo when the engine is running?

I got new RCAs ,but I tried a different set and same sound. The +and - connections are ok as im using 4gauge and the amp connections are small as . the + and - touch the body of the amp. their is a whine. but i did run the rcas on the same side is the power as i was too lazy to do it on the other side. im going to check a few things right now.also i feel the electrisity when i touch the amp...thats weird

What do you mean the + and - touch the body of the amp? That doesn't sound good in any case...

Ok tried some other stuff...
Fixed connections so they are clean....same thing
ran a different power wire from battery to the amp, straight from battery to amp no tucking....same thing
Tried a new ground...same thing
the only thing i can think of is it could be my amp? I'm going to try another amp. It's werid because it was working in 2 other cars i had them in before. Also you can hear the HU reading the cd though the sub I don't know why..I even ran a seperate RCA cables from the deck to the amp without it near the power wire.
Maby this will help its a video of what the sub sounds like. Its like crackaling the bass you hear are from the components not the sub.
