subs pounding weird
my earthquakes dont look like theyre moving as they should. i think its the amp because its happened ever since ive gotten it. it probly wasnt the best choice for an amp, but it sounds ok. when i have one sub on each channel, the subs almost look as if theyre moving in different directions. for now i have both subs in one channel and they move in the same direction but they still dont look right. theres still lots of bass but somethings just not normal. any ideas?

Have you tried to hook it up in Mono mode? Then at least both are moving the same signal!!

Disconnect one sub, if you magically have bass response again, reverse the wires on the other sub and reconnect to see if it impoves again. To me it sounds like a wired out of phase issue when you installed the new amp.

definatly sounds like a phase issue. Are they in seperate chambers or do they share the same chamber? reverse the wires and see what happens.

Motorboat?
Could it be that the amp is oscillating (motorboating)?
I agree with the phasing issue. first thing to check. |
oscillating as when you turn the gain way too high?
