link doesn't work

wootang77 02-17-2010 05:25 PM

fixed, should work now?

jstoner22 02-17-2010 05:30 PM

golden.

looks like it has two full range preouts. front and rear most likely.

so you can run them to a speaker amp and use a passthrough to a sub amp. or run either or to a sub amp and use the built in amp for your speakers.

regardless, i personally would not be buying that headunit.
for 300 + tax + shipping + customs + whatever else, i would definitely be looking into a higher end used unit.
...i actually haven't even heard of innovatek.:s

you are in whitby like myself.
definitely check out Custom Auto Radio on hopkins for something. rick will hook you up with something nice.

Yeah, thanks alot for the reply, i get where you are coming from, i think that brand is sketchy, but i am buying it locally for 200$ with the gps hardware and software included so its not a bad deal (400$-500$ retail anywhere else i can find it) plus im wanting to try the whole touch screen deal

so a sub will work

jstoner22 02-17-2010 05:39 PM

ya you can almost always find a way to hook up a sub. although not necassarily in an ideal way.

personally i find touchscreens a novelty that wears off overtime. if they dont have a nice interface you are going to hate looking at the screen. and may have trouble with cheaper screens acting up in the winter.
and you are going to have to specially rig it up if you expect to watch movies while moving.
...just some food for thought.

wootang77 02-17-2010 05:51 PM

on a standard car though how does it tell the difference if you are moving or not? especially a 1990 car lol.

jstoner22 02-17-2010 05:52 PM

most likely taps into the parking brake. and video won't engage unless ebrake is on.

wootang77 02-17-2010 06:30 PM

i dont see how that would work based on the wiring harness, the only thing that i could see working would be that the car would have to be in acc position and not actually running for the dvd player to work.
