will my amp work in my car?
i have an American Bass 400.1 and many people have been sayin my 2000 taurus will not be able to adequately power it and will blow up the car. is this true? and if so, what can be done besides big three that would help? i want this baby to pound. oh yeah, i almost forgot to mention im running four dual 4Ω subs at 2Ω to the amp, running only about 2600 watts. i think it could run possibly without even big 3, just a battery. what do you think?

sweet, alternator, big three, and battery were what i had in mind, amp takes 2 o awg hots and 2 0 awg grounds, and these idiots on taurus club of america forums were sayin i should use 1 4awg with an extra battery. their soo dumb.

LOL. Not to promote cross forum ruckus, but we never said your car would "blow up"
The general idea that was being promoted for said user, was one zero gauge cable to a high performance battery, and using that as a distribution point to get the two leads for the amplifier.

i've got a 94 taurus and unless they cut down on the alternator power you will be fine, the sum fuses of my amps is about 190 amps on the stock alternator and i did the big 3 and got the biggest battery i could fit in the car from advanced auto, sure after about a half hour/hour of full volume my lights start dimming but full volume is really loud. i should be upgrading my alt, but i figure the car charges back up when i shut Ludacris (blueberry yum yum has lots of bass ) off and turn on neil young
