wiring a 2007 dodge ram

Hello all this is my first post>
I am wiring in a new jvc KD-AVX1. Real simple until I try to turn on the power. I can open the front and put in a dvd and eject it also, but no constant power. If I do a reset of the player using the front reset button the panel lights will flash then go out and then nothing. All the wires are hooked up according to colour. There is two power wires that come from the factory cable harness and two from the deck. I was wondering if one of the wires that come from the deck should go direct to another power source.

THANKS IN ADVANCE

thanks for the reply.
from deck to aftermarket wireing harness then to factory harness.
red to red is dimmer lights
one yellow to two yellows is power.
black to black is ground
light green is emergency brake line.
the rest are speaker lines.

i think you have the red set up
try having your lights on full
what i think is you have ypur deck power to a dimmer switch so your deck is not getting 12-14.4
if red form the deck is power and yellows is power of car
look into this

06/07 ram does not have switched power at the radio harness, you have to run a wire down to the lighter socket on the LEFT side of the center dash.

thanks for the reply. I ended up running the accessory wire to direct power. I dont think this should be a big problem since I rarely leave the truck parked for more than a day. Things sure have changed over the last couple of years with car electronics. With all the diplexers and diodes and so on.
