So my cheap little plastic console is falling apart, and to small for my requirements anymore. I figure before I start dreaming up a plan to build one, a few of you might have old stuff "lying about in the attic" you may wish to get rid of...

Want a console to fit between the front seats. Wide enough to fit an XBox (Approx. 12in wide x 4in high x 8in deep or 300mm wide x 80mm high x 180mm deep.) and a DIN DVD player in the back (facing the back seat). Cup holders front & rear would be nice.

So, the day after I posted that ^^^ I walked into one of my used car lot customers...

They were renovating, and the pile of stripped vehicle accessories (most used car lots stip accessories, like non-matching floormats, bed liners, hubcaps, vent shades, etc. etc.) was out near the back door, like they were getting rid of it all...

"Hey, you guys throwing all that out or something? I'd sure like to get my hands on that grey console there..."

"No, no we're not chucking it, it's all going back in the storeroom. But take the console, enjoy!"

"Awesome, you rock!"

So it won't fit an XBox, but I got the DVD player in the back of it, under the cup holders & over the slide-out drawer. Good score! [img]graemlins/thumb.gif[/img]
