Looking for subs and amp
Hiya all I'm new to these forum mainly because I just recently started my own car audio related adventures!
I started with a new deck, picked up a DEH-P5800MP and installed it myself (suprisingly easy) then hooked up an old amp and sub my brother had lying around (Kenwood 50Wx2 amp and MTX 12" black gold sub) but was rather dissapoined in the lack of power and balance acheived by this setup.
So now I am here, looking to help you guys get rid of some of that old gear you no longer need and make a few bucks at hte same time
What I'm looking for:
A pair of 10" or 12" subs, with or without box (Im not adversed to building my own).
Preferably good low frequency response and still fairly tight sounding. So far I have heard and liked the sound of JL, Alpine and Rockford
As far as an amp, Im kind of lost in this area, just enough to power my subs what ever they may be. Probably in the 400-600watt range.
I'm not looking at putting together a micky mouse system, but at the same time I know I'm not going to be hitting 150+ db with this (nor do i intend to... untill i got some more money that is ) anyways, pm me to say what you have doe sale and we can talk something out.
PS. I am near the Hamilton/Toronto area and would prefer to pick up if possible.
PPS. I have some other car audio stuff for sale which I may post in the WTS forums in a little while, if you are interested in trade let me know (my brother has been into car audio for a number of years)
