I am looking for an old detachable face deck for an upcoming project. I only need basic funtionality, basically if it turns on it is good enough, don't really care what brand. Free is what I would like to pay if you have anything laying around collecting dust you just want to get rid of would be perfect. I just need one to tear apart to see if extending the jumpers for the faceplate works well. I want to remote mount the faceplate away from the unit itself and don't want to hack up my $900 Kenwood unit. LOL Will p/u in the GTA. Let me know what you guys want to get rid of.

Thanks, I have seen it done many times. I just am not going to hand over a $900 Kenwood to my brother in law to hack away at until he shows me on some POS he can actually get it to work first. LOL

Actually...I've got a CDE-100 unit w/o faceplate and a CDE-102 faceplate...the connectors look the same but not in the same place...if you want to try you're more than welcome to take them off my hands
