WTB: 400RMS @ 4ohm amp (for friend)
#1
hi,
just wondering if anyone has an old school amp that puts out around 300 or 400 RMS at 4ohms. doesnt have to be 2 ohm stable, he's running 2 8ohm subs. anyone have anything lying around and wants to get rid of, shoot us a PM.
Thanks!

I have access to a Pioneer Premier Reference Series PRS-X720 amplifier that does a minimum of 400 watts RMS at 4 ohms mono for $319.47 (plus shipping). Check it out here:

ppi 2360
2x90 @ 4,
2x180 @ 2,
1x360 @ 4 (all RMS ratings)
Here's the PPI Historical Lineage.

Here's a 2x360 that didn't sell. (not high enough).

Better than your basic Big Box MTX-Rockfoird Fosgate or Kicker (base series) amps where all are 20Hz - 20kHz. This just shows you the extra lower distortion in a bigger range, so it'll be better in that 20-20 range even though you'll probably never hear it. ppi freq. range for this series is 10hz-50kHz. The higher end PC series are 4.5hz-100kHz.
I had this amp running 2 JL 12 W0's 8ohms (so 360rms)...great punch! pretty good for the size when comparing my bigger boys.
$125 shipped.
