"generally accepted".....i will keep that one handy when "kinda" and "sorta" just wont do. Its still something that should only be done as a last resort when all other even more generally accepted options have been ruled out.

I'm not sure what you're not understanding. Maybe try a google or wiki search of 'boundary loading'.

Generally accepted means that people who know what they are doing ( I won't use the term professionals as I find many DIY have great skills) find it routine and acceptable.
