Question Kerfing question

Another nice build!

In the second picture of the original post, top left corner. The MDF is kerfed to allow for the curve for the mouth of the vent, what is the purpose of the holes that appear to be drilled in the kerfs?

Cheers!

when he resins the kerf of the enclosure, the holes allow the resin to seep into the MDF for a stronger hold.

question,

do you account for the flaring of the port when calculating the tuning of the box or do you just flare it and hope it wont change the tuning too much?
