98 Cavalier Z24, affordable audio setup.

Just wondering if anyone had any idea's for an affordable audio setup for my car. The only upgrade is the Pioneer 6X9's in the rear that are 250W. I would appreciate any suggestions! I listen mostly to heavy bass rap.

Only need to post in one place. Buy the loudest 6.5" 3ways you can find, a 600watt+ monoblock and a prefab dual12 vented box with $150 drivers

Thanks Dukk, but as I am new to this audio phenomenon could you explain in English? LOL!:dunno: I am looking at a Pioneer DEH 2200UB which is $160. Should I stick with all Pioneer or is mix and match ok? You did mean a 600W+ amplifier but a monoblock? Not sure what that is but I do appreciate your suggestions:thumbsup: Is there anyone near London Ontario with some car audio for sale that you know of? Thanks again

Get a better headunit, as down the road I'm sure you will want more than just basic features... Perhaps someone could suggest a great used deck, with crossovers, 6 channel rca outputs, subwoofer controls

That deck would be fine for just basic options, you get l/r RCA outputs, no crossovers, no sub control, all you really get is the made for IPOD connection

Mix and match is okay (but if you plan on running two subs, make sure they are the same brand/model/coil configuration)

A mono block - is a one channel amp, usually capable of running down to and below 2ohms

Now, spend the rest of the day reading:

for about 200 you could get a pioneer 4200 which would have your usb ,3 sets of 4 volt pre outs at your local walmart
i picked up the 4000ub for 100 last year there

Hey thanks dbs! I am on a tight budget but I don't want a piece of crap either! $200 isn't that bad!
