Exclamation 98 GrandPrix Build

ok so here is my current situation i have my full trunk to worth with and i want the most SPL for comps. I have a AQ HDC3 18" and 2 12" MTX Jackhamers. I am going to have the port/ports going into the cabin. an thinking about having the 18 in the center and 2 12's on each side im open to suggestions or advice. sorry almost forgot about what is powering all of this a 7000w Kole running the HDC and a 1200w pioneer running the MTX's and a 600W runnin all the mids/highs. also any ideas of how to keep all of this running such as size of wire and alt size.

Thnx

suggest a pair of xs power batterys 3100s or oddysy 2150s then atleast 5 or 6 runs of zero gauge , maybe find out if theres any alt shops in your area that could beef up your stock alternator with that 18 in the trunk there isnt going to be much room for the other 2 subs maybee take some measurments before you build and also do all the subs have the same impedance ?

the trunk is ruffly 4Ft L, 3.5FT W, 2 FT H. and the impedance on the HDC3 it has an alum coil dual 1 ohm and the others have dual 4 ohm

Probably best you run the same coil config's and same sizes especially if you plan on competing, might get in the way down the road. Just my 2 cents.

agreed , especially if you can fit that 18 in there would be more then enough with that amp at 1 ohm

I would go with the single 18 yes when your running differnt impediance and coil config , its not safe

as in when you run differnt size coils and differnt impedance out of an amp , what do you think will happen , youll burn coils, fuses and might damage the amp not only that , there differnt brands of subs

so you could run them at 2 ohm but , theres several risks when running subs with differnt coil config and mismatching brands I strongly suggest just running the single 18 sell the other 2 subs buy a battery
