big or small?
 

just wondering what are the benifits of larger boxes and smaller boxes and what is better for spl and what is better for music?

size all depends on the sub...
for music a lower tunning freq for ex...30 to 35hz range
and for all out spl the enclosure is usually tunned to the
resonance freq of the veicle..the last SPL box I built
ended up being tunned at 47hz

well i'm tossing 2 dd 9512s and i wasn't sure if i should make the box 6cu ft or 5cu ft, cuz dd says they need 2.6 cu ft per sub but i dunno if thats including the space displaced by the sub or not

in Dave's car those same subs were getting about 1.2 cubes each and he was doing almost 152.

it all depends on the box design really.

the shitty box that i had for my bassworx 12.4s has 1.3 each so i migh try that while i make a new box
