Im not new to car audio and have built some nice boxes.But what i am is math stupid.lol.. By ORIONs specs i will need 2 cf per sub.so this would be 8 cf. It is going in a 1998 chevy cavalier ,there is no back seat i have 2 orion hccas in there now.One of my questions is has anyone ever bent kerfd mdf.And kerfing it makes it weak how do you strenthen it.if i Can do this i can use back seat and into trunk. Would you suggest a bigger box. Im going for loud,im really loud now with a 5.5cf box. Anyone have a cavalier ? any suggestions.what about the ol subs faceing up port forward.i cantdo a wall all that will get me is tickets.we cant have are rear window blocked.i have half wall now.Im really just looking on a box design that will work well and be loud with 4 hccas.and honestly how ta hell do you build it in the car.?because im sure i will have to.im pushing 8k rms to them.how big would a 8 cf box actually be?

8 cuft in trunk mean u no longer have trunk lol

8 cuft(give or take alittle) before port and subs. << i think u were looking for idea of how big. but to get all subs on 1 face would be more like ... 32x17x32+port and sub disp.
You can also get away with making it little less wide but it has to be longer.(once again all subs on same face.)

Thank you ,yes when i wrote it and sent it i think i confused myself..writing to fast when thinking..lol..And yes i am looking for a size for a box..from what you calculated i think i could fit that in my back seat.I have no back seat ripped it all out.i wasnt sure how big 8 c/f box would be.thought i may have to do a t design box into trunk to achieve the 8 cf.i maybe even be able to get a little bigger.I have to disassemble in order to get all measurements i need for i have a half wall in now.but im just trying to get some ideas on what i need to do for a good spl / sq box for 4 orion hccas..before i start redoing it all. Im thinking on making interchangeable ports for comp and street.Thank You

yea as far as what will and wont fit i have no idea and nothing to compair , my car's i could fit that into the trunk alone lol
changeable ports is good idea. I tuned mine to high , got the loud but ye.... you know what happened to my overall sound.

my trunk that wont happen..lol but inside i can get it done..yes removable ports can change the sound..and yes i know what happened to the over all sound thats why i wanna do the interchangeable ports.. just a little 455 in the skylark huh..lmao
