Box design for 2x12" Premiere 500rms
 

Hey,

I have 2, pioneer premiere IMPP 12" subs, 1000watt max, 500watt rms each.
Dual 4 ohm voice coils.

Currently in a mass produced sealed box. Sounds ok, but now what i like or want.

I listen to alot of hip hop or heavy metal...

I want a ported box, as I much prefer the sound, and the rumble created by the air being pushed around the car.

I have a mazda tribute that they're in. Therefore I have roughly two feet deep, three feet height and three feet width roughly of trunk space available.

I'm not quite sure the frequency most desired, but any help would be appreciated.

As I stated, mostly hip hop music, Want a slot port box, and generally I like to seperate the air spaces, so each sub has it's own, acts on it's own, and therefore I can trouble shoot problems much easier if they occur.

Edit: Powering the subs with a new JBL 1400.1, 1400watt rms mono block amp.

I cant find the sub or a manual anywhere for it. What does the manufacture recommend as far as space, we could start with that.
