box for two RE XXX 15's, the older ones
Hi there, i am thinking of building a box for two RE XXX 15's. They are the older ones, like 04/05. I plan on putting them in a 2000 gmc sonoma extended cab for daily only, they r dual .7 so i can wire them down to 1.4 on my amp which is a rockford t3001. The amp can produce 3000/3500 at 1 ohm so at 1.4 the subs will be getting about 1300 or so each im guessing, i would like the subs to fire upwards behind my seat with the port where ever. I would like the box to be tuned to 32 hertz, the maximum demintions the box can be height 21", width 17" and length 50", these are outter demintions. I will be working with 1'' mdf, that about all i can think of at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

ok, i got it!!! use all your available space, that will give you 7.9ft^3 before any displacement. mount the subs on top with a divider between them and 2 slot ports firing up aswell, each port 4"x15"x33.5" length. This will make you barf lol
as for the sub wiring, if the amp is 1ohm stable, wire the subs to 0.7ohm. with box rise your amps will be safe and you will have much more power that way.

obviously one on the right and the left if there in separate chambers, would you put the ports at the end of the box or between the sub and the end. What i tryin to say is i've heard that in some cases the port should be a certain distance away from the sub and this is for daily not comp.
