Daily Box, Port Help
so im building a box for my brothers TJ. Were putting a pair of 15's powered by an Orion 2500D at .5 ohm.
The Box is 9.76 cubes before any displacement.
For port its 22.5 inches tall and up to 8 inches wide.
my question is for any of you guys with a program or smarts that can figure out the port length needed to tune the box to 32 hz.
i have used the online calculators in the past and they always seem to tune wrong.
any help would be apreciated, thnx in advance.

I gather you are talking about a slot port? Using the 22.5", if you apply a 4" width to the slot I come up with 14.4 inches for your port length. Using 6" width I get around 23.8" length. This is tuning to 32 hz. If you wanted to use the whole 8", I get around 33.5" length. Keep in mind this is also calculated without displacement in mind. What drivers are you putting in?

so you saying tj right ?
you may be runnig in to standing waves or other issues with a square box like that and large drivers in such a confined area, this also may cause port noise, i really would reconsider the setup before you spend all this time building something that probably wont perforem properly im not saying you dumb and dont take it as a insult. just think bout where your putting that and really how its going to sound ! have a great day
