Dual 15's ported.

Hey guys, I am building a box for 2 15" subs.
My only problem is, I don't know just how to place the port and what not.
I'm building it in the trunk of my car, I've got the room to get the cubic feet needed for the box.
My idea was to have the subs facing up, and the port facing the trunk opening? (Subs on top, port on the back)
I don't know how exactly I need to position the subs, or port.
Any insight? Thanks.

2001 Mustang, and not 100% sure yet.
Most likely 2 kicker comp 15's, until I can upgrade.

try to get everything facing the rear if possible. Subs on the driver side, port on the passenger. This will likely be the loudest in that car.

The only way I can face them back is if they are literally on the trunk opening, which I don't really trust, and even then, the box would have to be too small to do.
Any ideas how I could fire them up and do the port towards the back?
Unless you know any other way I can actually do it, because my trunk doesn't have the room to fire them back. /=

EDIT - forgot about this box type. I can do this, as well. http://puu.sh/2920y
Still need to know how to do the port. /= Going to do the port in between the subs.

If you haven't bought the subs yet then I would consider going down to 12"s to make it happen.

give me the max dimensions you can use then we will see what speakers suit the enclosure
generally 1 15 needs as much space as 2 12's

30Lx40Wx13High (or deep, looking from the top, w/e)

you have about 5.5 after displacement of subs ,port and bracing

i would go with 2 12's but if you insist on 15's i would get something that likes small boxs and run a lot of power to it to make up for the small box
sundown audio 15zv3 would be a good choice

I will most likely just do 1 15 due to space. Still have to top mount though.
