fiberglass help
ok well i'm attemptng my first glassed box, and just wanted to do a little check list first. I understand that i should wrap felt around the enclosure and sonotubes and apply resin. then apply layers of glass and more resin etc. Sand, paint, voila.
Questions are this.
1. How many layer, I thought 3 or 4?
2. Do I let each layer dry completely, before applying next layer.
3. Can I use this glass epoxy I have at work that has fiberglass and resin premixed?
Anyother helpful hints would be great.
Cheers

How about some more details about exactly what you are trying to accomplish. In reading you post it appears you just want to fibreglass the outside for cosmetic purposes?
To answer your questions though:
1) 3-4 is fine in non-structural areas. If it will see box pressure then I would double that.
2) It is best to let each batch dry before starting the next.
3) If you are only painting it on as a filler or cosmetic treatment then maybe. Not for strength though.
