the heavy pearl combined with the florecent lights makes the paint look
orange....but it's really an intense red...weird.... LOL http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0014_large.jpg http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0015_large.jpg http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0016_large.jpg |
wow...that's amazing. Nice work dude!
|
the LED's fade from blue to red on the Lexan.....I broke a lead off of one
so I have to get a replacement for it tomorrow then I'll take a pic of it lit up in the dark http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0017_large.jpg |
sweet, how much would you charge for a basic 12" Sealed enclosure :). I'd rather get one custom built instead of buying a cheap one in the stores.
|

should have some install Pics from Tanzania Africa soon :) http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0036_large.jpg http://carphotos.cardomain.com/ride_...0035_large.jpg |
Box looks great, but you should have used wide-disperment LED's to eliminate the spotlighting effect (unless that was intended)
|
when the amps are mounted behind the bright spots almost disapear from the
close reflection of the amps....it's one of those visual mind f%^& things I'll be doing a couple more Lexan projects soon |
shipping rates would be astronomical.
|
In a flat application where you aren't bending anything, why Lexan vs. acrylic? Polycarbonate scratches, and can yellow, easier than acrylic. Is it cheaper?
|
It's bulletproof!

As for scratching....apparently mr10 is abrasion resistent. why?..... insanely stronger compared to acrylic and cracking could be an issue with all the vibration. Cheaper?...hell no. I'm hoping the vinyl will be ok for a while since the mr10 doesn't seem to like adhesives/paint.....might get a little bubbling... It's nice to see someone putting a little more into there projects, especially when he could of used a much cheaper acrylic and nobody would of known the diffrence. oh, the box looks frackin slick....nice job man. |
I like using Lexan..this stuff doesn't yellow at all and it is much easier to work
with..big bonus is the added strength the Logo is not paint or vinyl either..it is sand blasted as a reverse image on the interior of the panel |
