--->help<---

Hi, i before had 2 kicker L5's 12" running in a ported box made by kicker. They hit nice until one sub gave out on me. I am considering upgrading to 2 kicker L7 12" and from what i know, i can use the same box to use on the L7's as i did on the L5's.
Dimensions are as follows:
 Embroidered "KICKER" Logo
 Dense Gray Carpeting Covering Remainder of Box
 Combo Port/Terminal Cup Assembly w/ Gold-Plated Terminals
Dimensions: 32-3/8"W x 16"H x 16-3/8"D(top) 19-9/16"D(bottom)

I would like to know, if i should get a bigger box, or if this one would run my L7's just fine. I think i should get a bigger ported box because i will be running 2200 watts @ 2ohms, not 1600 watts . HELP.

Using the same box should work, the only thing is it won't sound quite the same so if the end result isn't what you want then build a new one but I would try the old one first if you like it.

Ported is 99% of the time best for kicker for bass output. The market for guys running kicker out here is pretty high and the loudest are ported. My cousin is running 2 L7's and 2000watts and he is ported. The nice thing to do though is to keep good power to the subs otherwise the bass can get a little sloppy. I wouldn't recommend anything under 1500 watts. If your not happy with the prefab box in the end message XS Steve, he's one of the best box designers out here. He could probably hook you up with demensions if needed.

I'd make a ported box for those bad boys. Here is the link to the manual for the L7:
